One last taste of home → The road back to Mexico shores

My time at home was both busy and amazing, exactly what I needed.

I spent a few months in Calgary contracting to dental offices and helping build Renewa. Building a brand you truly believe in is meaningful, but after a while I realized it was time to pivot, so I made the choice to focus on other income streams.

From there I moved back home to Sylvan Lake so I could spend the summer with friends and family. In December, I moved to British Columbia to help another dental office. Through all of it, I was blessed to stay with dear friends. Forever grateful. 🤍

Nine months and a LOT of movement and transition… It was time to go back to the beach.

January 25, 2026: one last day at home

I got back from BC two days ago. I’m packed and organized, and I’m spending today trying to squeeze in as many visits as possible: my mom and my brother, my beautiful nieces, and some friends. My anxiety is high, and I’m not sure why. We packed the car (really packed, with no room for anything else) and headed to a friend’s for the evening. Stayed up way too late, but you have to soak up all the time you can.

January 26: on the road

6:00 a.m. Up and out. One quick stop in Red Deer, and then we were on the road.

Sylvan Lake → Idaho Falls → Zion National Park → Tucson → Mexico.
